In the first issue of Veracity we instituted an essay contest that we call The Big Question. The hopes were that we could generate interest in the topics that are important to us as well as involve more of the community with the content of this magazine. We began the quarterly contest with the question: What Does a Conservative Conserve? The turnout was as good as we could expect with several solid essays submitted. Unfortunately, we could only publish the winner, but we wanted to thank all those who submitted entries. Congratulations are due to the winner who received a $50 gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

Who should be the candidate for president and vice president? What are the changes the party should make to keep alive the
