We maintain an e-mail list through Yahoo Groups that serves as a means to announce our meetings, social events and political activities to it's subscribers. The list also serves as a means for subscribers to converse on political topics and to announce events not directly associated with the Young Republican Federation of San Diego in which our members may be interested. All are welcome to subscribe to our e-mail list.

How do I subscribe to the e-mail list?	Send an email to yrfsd-subscribe@yahoogroups.com from your e-mail program. OR Enter your e-mail address then click Join Now
How do I post a message to the group?	Send your message to yrfsd@yahoogroups.com. Our list is moderated for appropriate content. This means not every message will be sent to our subscribers. We wish to maintain a focused list that does not send useless and trivial e-mail to our subscribers. Only subscribers to the list can post messages.
How do I reply to someone else's posting?	Choose Reply to send a response to the entire e-mail list. If you only want to send your reply to the author, reply to the author's e-mail address (normally included in the posted message). If their e-mail address is not in the posted message, then e-mail the list moderator at yrfsd-owner@yahoogroups.com asking that the reply be forwarded to the author of the message only.
Is my e-mail address kept private?	Yes, only the moderator of the e-mail list can view the subscribers' e-mail addresses. As well, we do not make these addresses available to any other group or individual.
How do I unsubscribe from the e-mail list?	Send an email to yrfsd-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com from your e-mail program. If you have a problem removing your address, then e-mail the moderator directly at yrfsd-owner@yahoogroups.com and ask to be removed from the list.
What if I'm getting too much e-mail? Is the list available in a digest?	A daily digest is available, which means you will receive one e-mail per day with all postings for that day. If you want to receive a daily digest, the easiest way to do this is to e-mail the moderator at yrfsd-owner@yahoogroups.com with this request. The moderator will change your account status to a daily digest for you. You can also do this yourself if you have converted your account by associating the e-mail address you used to subscribe with to a Yahoo ID. To do this, click on the Conversion Wizard link at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yrfsd. Once you have converted your account, click the Sign In link and you will have access to the web interface of our Yahoo Group list. You will see a new Edit My Membership link where you can choose to set your account to a daily digest. In fact, you can set your account to No E-mail and just choose to view the e-mails like a message board via your web browser (see the following question). You still will be able to post messages setting your account to No E-mail.
Can I view a history of posted messages?	Yes, you can. Once you have converted your account (per the question above), you now have the ability to view all messages and replies posted to our list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yrfsd. Click on the Messages link.
I like getting individual messages, but I don't like how they clutter my Inbox. Can I do something about this?	Yes you can. In most modern e-mail programs you can set up a mail rule where your e-mail program automatically files your e-mail into a specific folder. Since all e-mail posted to the Young Republican Federation of San Diego e-mail list contain YRFSD in the subject, you can set up your mail rule to file all e-mail with this text in the subject into a specific folder in your e-mail program. The e-mails from our list will no longer show up in your Inbox, but rather be filed into this folder immediately upon receipt.
